Still Life and Visual Identity Questions
Two variations of my Still Life Objects. This objects represent me as a person
Visual Identity Questions and Answers:
- What visually makes you who you are? Something that visually makes me who I am are seashells. I'm a carefree person and I go wherever the world takes me.
- What is the importance of appearance? Appearance is important because it's how people view things and it shows who a person is.
- What objects have you chosen to bring that represent you? I brought in a bag from Aeropostle, a pair of boots, a DVD, a book, a monkey from when I was little, my old iPod, a seashell, a souvenir from Hawaii, and a blanket from my Aunt.
- How are these objects significant/symbolic of your identity? My Aeropostle bag symbolizes where I like to shop. The boots represent that I love shoes. My DVD represents that I like to watch TV and it's my favorite past-time. The book represents that I love to read and I love learning new things. My stuffed monkey represents that I love animals and that it was my first stuffed animal when I was little. My iPod represents that I love music and it's a significant part of my life. The seashell represents how at home I feel when I'm at the beach, and that I hope to move closer to one someday. The souvenir from Hawaii represents how much I love it there, that I love dolphins, and how amazing of a vacation it was.
- How have you chosen to light/arrange/photograph these objects? Why? I chose a neutral lighting because that represents me more as a person. I arranged my objects so they would almost have a border in the picture. I photo graphed these at an angle so they light wouldn't be reflective on my objects, and it's typically better than a straight, head-on photo.
- Is there significance to the fabric you brought in? If so, what is the significance of the fabric? Yes, my Aunt got it for me for Christmas last year and we are very close. I also love the random designs on it.
